Green Lens Launches Climate Change Awareness Campaign

Green Lens launches a climate change awareness campaign called #raiseyourvoicecampaign.

The founder of Green Lens, Nelson Byanyima also known as Nelly Salvatore announced that on 24th August 2022, Green Lens launched an awareness campaign called Raise your voice Campaign. The campaign is currently running on social media platforms under the hashtag #raiseyourvoicecampaign.

Raise your voice campaign is an impact-based approach campaign that aims at raising public awareness about Environmental Conservation, Climate Action & adaptation, and the promotion of Clean Energy.


The main purpose of this campaign is to inform the public and all stakeholders about their vulnerability and the measures they can take to pro-actively adapt to climate change to managing the impacts of climate change, enhance adaptive capacity and reduce overall vulnerability.


Raise your voice campaign’s main focus is to increase enthusiasm and support, stimulate self-mobilization and action, and mobilize local knowledge and resources. The raise your voice campaign also targets political leaders as policymakers and politicians are key actors in the policy process of adaptation.

The raise your voice awareness campaign uses effective communication strategies to reach the desired outcome. Some of the main communication strategies are visual whereby digital content in form of videos, photography, graphics, infographics, and website content will be created and disseminated through various channels, etc. Others will include verbal communication which may include physical meetings, seminars, webinars, talk shows, media relations, school actions, festivals/concerts, and community dialogues among others.
