Celebrating World Wetlands Day 2026 in Uganda: Green Lens honors 55 years of the Ramsar Convention by bridging the gap between cultural heritage and modern wetland conservation.

On April 22nd, 2025, Green Lens International launched the Green Zone Event in celebration of World Earth Day, uniting environmental experts, creatives, and policymakers to champion clean energy and climate action. Through storytelling, music, live demonstrations, and youth engagement, the event showcased locally-driven solutions and the power of community in building a sustainable future.

In celebration of Earth Day, Green Lens International partnered with the Ministry of Energy and key stakeholders to deliver an engaging climate education outreach at Nakasero Primary School. The event reached over 600 pupils with hands-on learning experiences, including fruit tree planting, clean cooking demonstrations using electric pressure cookers, and interactive environmental activities—empowering children and teachers to become champions of sustainability and clean cooking.
